Amir Solsky (Contra Mestre Parafina):
Amir Solsky (Contra Mestre Parafina), originally from Israel, has been studying the art of Capoeira and Gymnastics since January 1993.
He combines his talent of Brazilian dance fighting with amazing acrobatics making him a high in demand Martial Artist for events, performances, and movie projects. Amir graduated at "Masters" massage school in Israel in 1996, and he graduated at the main sport facility in Israel, the 'Wingate' institute, in 1997 specializing in personal training, aerobic instruction, and fundamentals of movement.
Amir has been teaching Capoeira in Sherman Oaks since late 2002, recently opened his second studio in Santa Monica, and teaches Gymnastics in Van Nuys. Amir uses his experience and knowledge of movement to breakdown every part of the arts he teaches, methodically done in a way that can be learned by people of all ages, levels, and those who are completely out of shape. Amir performs regularly doing various circus arts such as Aerial and Hand to Hand Balancing, Equilibre, Contortion and he also performed as a dancer.
